Happy Mathematic Monday!!
May your day be filled with no problems, but if there is a problem may you find the solution to it!
Joey wants to tell you a little about addition!
There are four basic operations of arithmetic and they are addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Addition is adding two or more numbers together to find the total sum of the numbers. There are three parts to addition problems, the addends, the plus (+) and equal (=) signs, and the sum. The addends are the two or more numbers you are adding together. The plus sign (+) is used to let us know that we are adding the addends together and the equal sign (=) is used to let us know what the sum of the addends are. The sum is the final answer of the addition problem. Robert Recorde was a mathematician and a physician who invented the equals (=) sign and introduced the plus (+) sign to English speakers in 1557.
Which one of the four basic operations of math is your favorite?
